Beijing Business School was founded in 1950, and it was the one of primary colleges established by Chinese government to train experts in economics and management. Beijing Business School was once attached to Ministry of Internal Trade that is now known as Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China. Permitted by Chinese government, it was one of the first batch of colleges possessing the authority to grant students master degree. In 1996, Beijing Business School and Beijing Light Industry School combined to comprise Beijing Technology and Business University.
